Mrs. Lund

My name is Kalli Lund, and I have been the Middle School Vocal director here since 2022. I am also co-director for all the High School Drama productions, and I teach 7th-8th Grade Speech.

I grew up in Holstein, Iowa and graduated from Ridge View High School. After High School I attended Luther College and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education in 2016. I taught for three years at the American Community School in Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates) before returning to Iowa City, where I got a Master's Degree in Trumpet Performance at the University of Iowa. I taught for one year at Lone Tree Community School in Lone Tree, Iowa before moving to Rock Valley with my husband, Tyson Lund (Middle School Band).

I am passionate about making music with students, and want to make sure that I provide a safe and welcoming environment for students to try new things and become better musicians and people throughout their educational career.
